Once a thriving site
Some would question the reason
Only two remain
Nuts falling from holes
Squirrel noise won't drive all out
Only those with ears
Norm in the culture:
lazy violent reference.
Challenge teen dogma.
Was that art? Maybe.
For some the principle is
brought over it's edge.
Slide the knife between,
edge up and safely away.
One? Two? Sack is apt.
Let us vote this time
for the gentle, true haiku.
Ryerro, go elsewhere.
Wind the coil tight, tight.
Loose the catch and hold in place.
"Whhheeeeeeennn?!" my toy heart cries.
Where is the moon that
pulls this tide high and leaves marks?
Sea ice hidden, grey.
I lost my pocket.
Who looses their pockets?!
Maybe a monkey.
Blossoms in Beijing.
I was closer to you then,
home in Alaska.
A trip to see you.
Mao accepts my attention
as cats mostly do.
A moment ago
you smiled from windows opened.
Don't pack the gloves yet.
Paw prints in the snow.
The sled tugs at your middle.
I take it shyly.
White sky adds more white.
Raven adds black water sounds
from back in her throat.
My trite haikus lounge.
Either get moving or hold.
As still as a stone.
The moon appears, gone.
I was not her opponent.
She cornered herself.
